Privacy Policy

Who we are

Godwin Tech Solutions (“GTS”, “we”, “us”) is an IT services company based at Entre Kassap Logpom, Douala. This policy covers godwintechsolution.online and the services offered through it. For any privacy question, contact us at contact@godwintechsolutions.com.

What we collect

1. Information you give us

When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company, the service you are interested in, your budget range and your message. This is sent by email to our team so that we can reply. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss work you have asked us about.

2. Chat conversations

Our website assistant, Evelyn, is powered by the Google Gemini API. Messages you type into the chat are sent to Google to generate a reply.

We keep a copy of the conversation so our team can follow up on questions Evelyn could not fully answer and improve the answers she gives. A transcript is linked to your browsing session, not to your name — we only know who you are if you tell us. Transcripts are deleted after 12 months.

Please do not share passwords, payment card details or confidential information in the chat. If you would like a conversation deleted, email us and we will remove it.

3. Website analytics

We record how the site is used so we can improve it and so we know when someone needs help. For each visit we store:

• Pages viewed, time on site, and how far down the page you scrolled
• The page or search that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link
• Device type, browser and operating system
• An approximate city and country, derived from your IP address
• Whether you opened the chat, started the contact form, or clicked WhatsApp

4. Google Analytics

We also use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate reporting on traffic and page performance. It sets first-party cookies to distinguish visitors, and we have enabled IP anonymisation so your full IP address is not stored by Google. We do not use it for advertising, remarketing or audience sharing. See our Cookie Policy for the cookies it sets, and Google’s privacy policy for how they handle it.

What we deliberately do not do

• We never store your IP address. It is used in memory to look up an approximate city, then discarded. Only a one-way salted hash is kept, purely to tell a returning visitor from a new one.
• We use no advertising pixels or cross-site trackers. The only cookies set are Google Analytics' own, described above and in our Cookie Policy.
• We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not build profiles across other websites. Everything we record stops at this site.
• We honour Do Not Track. If your browser sends that signal, no analytics are recorded at all.

Where your information goes

We use a small number of third parties to run this website:

Some of these providers process data outside Cameroon. We share only what each one needs to perform its function.

How long we keep it

• Analytics records: deleted automatically after 12 months.
• Chat transcripts: deleted automatically after 12 months.
• Contact enquiries: stored in our system and inbox for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting work. We keep these deliberately — an email delivery failure once cost us enquiries we never knew had been sent.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@godwintechsolutions.com and we will respond within 30 days. Because we do not store IP addresses or names against analytics records, we may need extra information from you to locate your data — and in many cases there will be nothing to find, which is by design.

To stop analytics entirely, enable “Do Not Track” in your browser settings, or block JavaScript from this site.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access is protected by authentication and restricted to our team. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial information through the contact form or the chat.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above. This document describes our practices in plain terms; it is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before being relied upon in a contract.
